Psalm 53 - For the choir director: A meditation of David.

This is a song of praise that David wrote in Psalm 14, and he is meditating on those exact words in this psalm. It begins with the following sentence: “Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” (Psalm 53:1) (Wow! I’m shaking my head in disbelief thinking about people in my life who share this mindset. Lord, reveal yourself to those with scales on their eyes.) As usual, read the rest of the psalm for yourself, see how it aligns with our lesson in Psalm 14, draw some conclusions, make some connections, and strive to deepen your knowledge.

Lord, thank you for your Word today! David’s words in this psalm must be important to him for him to meditate on them. As a result, help us see their importance and relevance as WE study them. Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
