Psalm 149

In this song of praise, the psalmist tells the people to rejoice in the Lord. Here’s the psalm in its entirety:

“Praise the Lord!

Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in our King. Praise his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation. Let the faithful rejoice in this honor. Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds. Let the praises of God be in their mouths, and a sharp sword in their hands – to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, to bind their kings with shackles and their leaders with iron chains, to execute the judgment written against them. (Yes, Lord! Help us be humble and continually shout your praises…all while we fight for you!) This is the glory of his faithful ones.

Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 149)

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Help us see you; help us honor you; help us rejoice in you every day! And Lord, help us show you that we TRULY love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
