In this song of praise, David speaks of the corrupt people of this world. Here’s the psalm in its entirety: “Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” (Wow! I hear people say they don't believe in God, but they are speaking with their mouth. What do they really believe in their heart? Looking at this world and everything in it, who in their right mind could ever believe IN THEIR HEART that God doesn’t exist? I guess that’s why the bible says only a FOOL would.) They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; no one does good!
The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if there is even one with real understanding, one who seeks for God. But no, all have turned away from God; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not even one!
Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread; they wouldn't think of praying to the Lord. Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will protect his people. (Yes, Lord!)
Oh, that salvation would come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel! For when the Lord restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice." (Psalm 14)
Lord, thank you for your Word today! Help us minister to those who doubt your existence. Give us the words to say to them that will allow them to see you and your greatness. Lord, you are amazing and we love you!
May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)
