In this song of praise, the psalmist leads the people like a choir director, instructing them to give thanks to the Lord, as they sing in unison…”His faithful love endures forever.” Here’s the beginning part of the psalm: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to him who placed the earth on the water. His faithful love endures forever.” (Psalm 136:1-6) The rest of the psalm continues in this fashion. Read it for yourself and marvel at some of the many things we should give thanks to the Lord for.
Lord, thank you for your Word today! Thank you for your many blessings and miracles. Lord, we are nothing without you. We love you!
May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)
