Psalm 131 - A song for the ascent to Jerusalem. A psalm of David.

In this song of praise, the psalmist conveys that when we have placed our hope in the Lord, our soul is like that of a small child. Here’s the psalm in its entirety: “Lord, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I don’t concern myself with matters too great or awesome for me. But I have stilled and quieted myself, just as a small child is quiet with its mother. Yes, like a small child is my soul within me.

O Israel, put your hope in the Lord – now and always.” (Psalm 131)

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Help us to quiet ourselves like that of a small child. Help us not be concerned with the peaks and valleys of life, knowing that our hope is completely in you, and that we can trust that, like a mother, you will take care of us. Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
