Psalm 130 - A song for the ascent to Jerusalem.

Today starts our Spring Break, and as a result, there will be no postings next week and we will resume our study on April 3, 2023, God willing. Enjoy the start of Spring and God bless!

In this song of praise, the psalmist tells his people to hope in the Lord. Here’s the psalm in its entirety: “From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.

Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you. (Thank you, Lord, for always giving us an out, for always opening your arms to us, no matter how great the sin. Lord, we love you!)

I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.

O Israel, hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is unfailing love and an overflowing supply of salvation. He himself will free Israel from every kind of sin.” (Psalm 130)

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Thank you for your unfailing love and your infinite forgiveness. Who are we without you? Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
