Psalm 123 - A song for the ascent to Jerusalem.

In this song of praise, the psalmist has had enough of the world and is ready to be filled by the Lord. Here’s the psalm in its entirety: “I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven. We look to the Lord our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy, for we have had our fill of contempt. We have had our fill of the scoffing of the proud and the contempt of the arrogant.” (Psalm 123)

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Remove worldly desires from our hearts, and help us lift our eyes to you and separate ourselves from the ungodly. Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
