Psalm 119 - Reflection

As discussed in yesterday's lesson, we are taking time to digest Psalm 119 because it is so long. Therefore, if you have not read yesterday's lesson on Psalm 119, you will want to do that first.

I just read through the first third of this psalm, and it continues to blow me away. Something that sticks out is the comfort the psalmist gets from reading God’s Word…how much peace and joy it brings him. Here’s a verse (verse 24) that I highlighted just now that references wisdom I overlooked the first time: Your decrees please me; they give me wise advice. (Wow…this is so true! God’s Word is the instruction manual for life, so reading God’s Word gives us so much wisdom!)

Lord, thank you for Psalm 119! Help us digest everything you want us to learn from this one psalm. Open our minds to receive the wisdom you have placed before us. Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
