Psalm 108 - A psalm of David. A song.

This song of praise is a complete recount of Psalm 57:7-11 and Psalm 60:5-12. It is a combination of reverence for the Lord which was identified in Psalm 57, and a cry for help to the Lord from Psalm 60. The first verse of this psalm reads, “My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises!” I mentioned this because I normally highlight verses with an underline, but that verse was the only verse I highlighted in bold in Psalm 57:7. It shows that I was moved by the verse, and it caused me to think…is our praise linked to the amount of confidence we have in the Lord? I believe it is. Therefore, the question becomes…where does your praise fall on the praise meter? And as a result, how much confidence do you REALLY have in the Lord?

As usual, read it for yourself, see how it aligns with our lessons in Psalms 57 and 60, draw some conclusions, make some connections, and strive to deepen your knowledge.

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Help us build our confidence in you, and when we do…watch our praise be magnified! Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
