This is Solomon’s last proverb. The remaining two are written by two other individuals. In this chapter, Solomon continues his one-line nuggets of wisdom. Here’s one we should etch into our consciousness: “Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.”

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Help us recognize pride when it surfaces within us, and before it has an opportunity to show itself in our actions and words, expel it and guide us to humility. Lord, we love you!
May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)
