Proverbs 21

In this chapter, Solomon shares his wisdom on living with a contentious and crabby wife, along with many other points of wisdom (I’m always struck by the negative characterizations directed towards women and not men in the bible…sign of the time, right?) One point of wisdom I was drawn to referenced how we should respond to individuals in need. Solomon says, “Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need.” (verse 13)

Read the rest of Proverbs 21 for yourself, and identify the points of wisdom that capture your attention.

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Open our minds and hearts, so that we may receive the character building lessons you are providing to us. Fill our spirit with compassion for others, for one day, we will be in need of a helping hand. Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
