Proverbs 17

In this chapter, Solomon speaks true wisdom with the first verse. “A dry crust eaten in peace is better than a great feast with strife.” If this isn’t true, I don’t know what is. I am now 56 years old, so I’ve lived long enough to have experienced peace on several levels. At the highest level, God touched me during a very difficult time in my life and gave me a peace, as the bible says, “that surpasses all understanding”. And at its most basic level, some peanut butter toast with honey on it, shared with a loved one, can taste like heaven when you're at peace.

Read the rest of Proverbs 17 for yourself, and see if there are some other truths that resonate with you.

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Thank you for the peace you have given me throughout my life. Help us all find you, embrace you, and integrate you into our daily lives, for you are the source of true peace. Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
