In this chapter, Solomon provides us with several wise one liners. One that sticks out early in the chapter is…”Ill-gotten gain has no lasting value, but right living can save your life.” (Proverbs 10:2) This is the first time I've noticed a reference to “right living” in the bible. My golf buddies often say, “You must be living right” whenever someone gets a break that they should not have gotten (sinking a long putt from 40 feet for par, or a ball headed for the woods, and it is miraculously kicked out into the fairway). I can now follow-up, confidently, with my own comment…”That’s right; living right can save your life!”
