Isaiah 35 - Hope for Restoration

In this chapter, Isaiah encourages the people to be strong because good things are coming and the Lord is coming to save them. Here’s a portion of the text: “With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those who are afraid, “Be strong and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind and unstop the ears of the deaf. The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will shout and sing! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the desert. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land. Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish where desert jackals once lived.” (Isaiah 35:3-7)

In the rest of the chapter, Isaiah speaks of a road named the Highway of Holiness that's exclusively for those who have been redeemed. As usual, read the rest of the chapter for yourself, draw some conclusions, make some connections, and strive to deepen your knowledge.

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Help us recognize the strength we have in you! Remove any fear we may have, for if you are with us…”who can be against us!” (Romans 8:31) Lord, we love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
