Esther 10 - The Greatness of Xerxes and Mordecai

This is the last chapter of Esther and is only composed of three verses. Here’s the chapter in its entirety: “King Xerxes imposed tribute throughout his empire, even to the distant coastlands. His great achievements and the full account of the greatness of Mordecai, whom the king had promoted, are recorded in The Book of the History of the Kings of Media and Persia. Mordecai the Jew became the prime minister, with authority next to that of King Xerxes himself. (Wow! That was Haman's position, and now Mordecai holds it. Don't play with God's people; you may become a footstool!) He was very great among the Jews, who held him in high esteem, because he worked for the good of his people and was a friend at the royal court for all of them.” (Esther 10)

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Thank you for Mordecai’s example, and like Mordecai, help us all work to represent our people and work for the good of their future and salvation. And, Lord, thank you for allowing us to complete another book of your wonderful Word. We love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
