2 Chronicles 6 - Solomon Blesses the People

This chapter is a recount of 1 Kings 8:1-53. It highlights Solomon’s prayer to the Lord, requesting that the Lord hear and forgive the people of Israel when they come to Him in prayer. It is a remarkable display of boldness in someone’s faith in the Lord. As usual, read it for yourself, see how it aligns with our lesson in 1 Kings, draw some conclusions, make some connections, and strive to deepen your knowledge.

I did that already, and here is something I wrote from the lesson in 1 Kings when Solomon was praying to the Lord: “Though Solomon is asking the Lord to listen, it’s as though he is commanding him to do so. It indicates the confidence he has in the Lord!

The prayer Solomon delivers in both of these chapters is an amazing prayer. Check it out for yourself.

Lord, thank you for your Word today! Help us establish a relationship with you that fosters boldness and confidence in our faith for you. We love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
