This chapter is a recount of 1 Kings 8:1-53. It highlights Solomon’s prayer to the Lord, requesting that the Lord hear and forgive the people of Israel when they come to Him in prayer. It is a remarkable display of boldness in someone’s faith in the Lord. As usual, read it for yourself, see how it aligns with our lesson in 1 Kings, draw some conclusions, make some connections, and strive to deepen your knowledge.
I did that already, and here is something I wrote from the lesson in 1 Kings when Solomon was praying to the Lord: “Though Solomon is asking the Lord to listen, it’s as though he is commanding him to do so. It indicates the confidence he has in the Lord!”
