2 Chronicles 2 - Preparations for Building the Temple

This chapter is a recount of 1 Kings 5:1-16. There are additions and deletions of details between the two chapters; so, as usual, read it for yourself, see how it aligns with our lesson in 1 Kings, draw some conclusions, make some connections, and strive to deepen your knowledge.

Something I would like to point out in this chapter, however, is Solomon’s admiration for the Lord. He states in verse 5, “This will be a magnificent Temple because our God is an awesome God, greater than any other. But who can really build him a worthy home? Not even the highest heavens can contain him! So who am I to consider building a Temple for him, except as a place to burn sacrifices to him?” Yes!!! Say it again, Solomon! We serve a mighty god!

Lord, thank you for your Word today! All day long…you are AMAZING! Thank you for your awesomeness, Lord! We love you!

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

….AND MAY WE ALL PRACTICE THIS WITH ONE ANOTHER.
