The first eight chapters of 1 Chronicles are dedicated to genealogy. Chapter 1 lists the descendants of Adam, Japheth, Ham, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, and Esau, and it highlights the original people of Edom and its rulers. It’s easy to get lost in all of those names, so let’s, simply, read it and bookmark it for future reference when needed. Lord, thank you for your Word today! Thank you for allowing us to begin another book in our journey to draw closer to you.. As we read 1 Chronicles, help us make connections to what you have already taught us in the previous books. You are amazing, and we love you!.
